Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman holds an Honorary Chair in Psychology within the University of California Davis and is the Director of its Center for Public Policy Research. It is widely believed that she was the one who initiating the contemporary research into the study of memories of eyewitnesses and children's victims as witnesses in lawful situations. Prof. Goodman has published extensively as well as received numerous grants. She has also received numerous national and international distinctions. She has provided advice on policy and research to numerous agencies and government departments across the world. She is an expert consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a part of many professional organizations including those of the Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology-Law Society Psychology of women and trauma stress 56). Professor Goodman belongs to the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a Founding Member, International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice.
